P.S.

BTW, yes her tongue is actually on the floor

Week One

Well, Summer has been here a week and is doing fantastic. She and Silly get along great. Occasionally, Silly tries to pull this "passive-aggressive" thing with the dog beds, but Summer doesn't care. Actually, she doesn't seem to have any cares at all. She isn't phased by other dogs, people or even the vacuum cleaner (haven't had a thunderstorm yet, so we'll see about that). She gets very excited when you pick up her leash and literally thrusts her head into her Martingale collar like she is trying to jump through a hoop. Her leash manners are excellent. She also sleeps through the night with no problems. Here is a shot of her and Silly hanging out

Actually, she seems to be the one hanging out.

That's all for now.

Summer

We met Summer during the January meeting and then picked her up to foster at the Clarksville meet n' greet on Saturday, Feb 11. She is a complete doll. She is definitely a shadow (or velcro dog); she wants to be wherever we are. We've had our other grey, Silly, for three months now and she is still coming out of her shell. Summer had no shell to come out of. She jumped right in and made herself at home immediately. She was roaching within one day and hijacked the couches within two.

She and Silly get along fine. Summer has actually increased Silly's social skills by always being around us. Instead of lounging all day in her bed, Silly now thinks she has to be out and about in order to get the same attention as her. Summer rides well in the car with no problems and has had no bathroom incidents. She does fine with (ignores) our indoor cat, as well as the outdoor ones. She crates fantastic (especially when being supervised by said indoor cat, Scarlett).

. All and all she is a beautiful, well mannered, and very loving senior grey. We love having her here.
